A mocking Nicholas Latifi says he was left “heartbroken” by four of his fellow F1 racers who did not include him in their exclusive “Twitch Quartet” group of streamers last year.<\/p>\n
George Russell, Lando Norris, Charles Leclerc and Alex Albon banded together during the coronavirus lockdown last year to showcase their skills on the Twitch<\/em> streaming platform.<\/p>\n Whether it was in a virtual Grand Prix, a lawn-mower race or in a round of Call of Duty, the group typically kicked up a storm of mischief during their online encounters, much to the absolute pleasure of their many fans and followers.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n But a vexed Latifi, as one of F1’s original streamers, conveyed to Russell his disappointment for not being included in his collegue’s little online group.<\/p>\n “You need to start a petition here to abolish the Twitch Quartet because I was heartbroken that I wasn\u2019t a part of this,” Latifi joked as he exchanged New Years’ resolutions with Russell.<\/p>\n “It should have been the Twitch Quintet, I mean I was one of the originals on Twitch.<\/p>\n “And of all the racing drivers that got in to it, and I was just not included, so whoever came up with the Twitch Quartet we\u2019ve got to have a word.<\/p>\n “So as a member, we\u2019ve got to make it the Twitch Quintet.”<\/p>\n Russell appeared unimpressed with the Canadian’s grievances, but promised nevertheless to inquire about a possible access to the posh and limited circle.<\/p>\n “The Twitch Quintet\u2026 it doesn\u2019t quite have the same ring,” said Russell. “I\u2019ll bear it in mind. No promises because it is very exclusive.<\/p>\n “I\u2019ll put in a good word to the president and see what I can do.”<\/p>\n The first secret of the Twitch Quartet is, you do not talk about the Twitch Quartet.
