A week after winning WTS Abu Dhabi Brit Jodie Stimpson has won the ITU Triathlon World Cup in Mooloolaba, Australia.<\/p>\n

\u00a0After a strong 750m sea swim, Stimpson got into a lead group of ten women on the bike, and made a move early in the 5km run to set up the victory.<\/p>\n
\u00a0\u201cIt\u2019s great to back to back in Mooloolaba, it\u2019s like a home race, I\u2019ve spent a lot of time here since 2009,\u201d said Jodie. It\u2019s a nice feeling to be back here. I got second last time I was here to Annie Haug, so it\u2019s nice to get the win.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u00a0\u201cI swam absolutely shocking in Abu Dhabi and it wasn\u2019t a reflection of how my swimming has gone. To be honest I was probably a little bit behind but I managed to catch a brilliant wave coming in, I got dunked a little bit, but I just caught a cracking wave and it made me come up a little bit\u2026goggles were half off, but it was great fun.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u00a0Olympic bronze medallist Aussie Emma Moffatt was second and USA\u2019s Kirsten Kasper was third.<\/p>\n
It was the weekend for Abu Dhabi victors as Mario Mola also won the men\u2019s race, adding to his Abu Dhabi victory from last weekend.<\/p>\n
\u00a0Stimpson will now stay in Australia in preparation for her next race, the ITU World Triathlon Series on Australia\u2019s Gold Coast on 9 April, where the British selectors will be looking to make their final choice for Rio.<\/p>\n
