People born with achondroplasia \u2013 a condition causing disproportionate dwarfism \u2013 don\u2019t tend to end up as champions in the world of wrestling. In fact, only one man has ever achieved this, becoming the World Wrestling Entertainment Cruiserweight Champion at the age of 21 and the height of 4\u2019 5\u201d.<\/p>\n

Wisconsin-born Dylan Postl worked and wrestled as\u00a0Hornswoggle\u00a0<\/em>for the world leaders in sports entertainment for ten years, becoming the longest-tenured and unquestionably best-known little person performer in WWE history. In that time, he also appeared in Hollywood movies, bought his own wrestling promotion and, most importantly, became a dad.<\/p>\n

LIFE IS SHORT \u2013 AND SO AM I<\/em><\/p>\n

is scheduled for a Summer 2019 release by ECW press and will see Postl collaborate with co-writers Ross Owen Williams and Ian Douglass to delve into the physical and emotional challenges of being a little person in both a big person\u2019s world and, often, a large person\u2019s industry, as well as charting Dylan\u2019s emotional path to parenthood, and varied relationships within his own family.<\/p>\n

\u201cLooking back through my life to this point has been crazy,\u201d says Postl. \u201cIt\u2019s just reinforced something I\u2019ve always thought which is \u2018this should never have happened\u2019. I can\u2019t tell you the amount of times I\u2019ve found myself backstage at a big event or on a movie set, and even this last week over in Saudi Arabia in front of 60,000 people halfway across the world from where I was born, thinking \u2018how did this ever happen to me?\u2019 It\u2019s unreal.\u201d<\/p>\n

Writer Ross Owen Williams, the co-author of both Bob Holly\u2019s highly-praised\u00a0Hardcore Truth\u00a0<\/em>and upcoming Al Snow autobiography\u00a0Self-Help\u00a0<\/em>commented, \u201cI\u2019m confident people will be impressed when they learn more about Dylan\u2019s background and, especially, his attitude about everything he\u2019s gone through with regards to his condition. Some people could see the condition he was born with as a curse or an excuse, but he just sees it as the way things are and gets on with doing his best to be respected in his profession and an exemplary father \u2013 both of which he succeeds at beyond question. He\u2019s an incredible guy with a huge sense of humour, one of the shortest, biggest-hearted people I\u2019ve met and working with him on this book has been and continues to be great fun.\u201d<\/p>\n

Postl returned to WWE TV this past week as\u00a0Hornswoggle\u00a0<\/em>with an appearance in the promotion\u2019s 50-man Greatest Royal Rumble match, eliminating two-time NXT tag team champion Dash Wilder.<\/p>\n
