As noted, 2018 WWE Hall of Fame headliner Bill Goldberg will be the co-host of\u00a0History Channel\u2019s\u00a0new six-episode competition series “Forged in Fire: Knife or\u00a0Death”, a spinoff of the popular\u00a0Forged in Fire\u00a0series. Goldberg recently spoke with Scott Fishman of TVInsider about the show, and his upcoming Hall of Fame induction, and below are some interview highlights.<\/p>\n

On being inducted into the 2018 WWE Hall of Fame:<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s overwhelming,\u201d Goldberg said. \u201cIt\u2019s a completely foreign experience to me. It\u2019s something I never aspired to be given, yet if you don\u2019t strive to be the best at your given profession, you\u2019re selling yourself short.<\/p>\n

On Daniel Bryan’s WWE in-ring comeback:<\/p>\n

\u201cThe kid\u2019s passion. You see it in his performances. To be able to persevere and get a second chance, it puts things in perspective. You look at things completely differently than you did the first time. I know that every step along the way, his appreciation will be tenfold. For someone working hard for something, it\u2019s extremely rewarding that you can see them succeed and continue that journey. I\u2019m excited to continue on that journey with him.\u201d<\/p>\n

On his role on the new History Channel show:<\/p>\n

\u201cMy position is to create excitement bigger than life and have a rudimentary background to what I\u2019m watching. That I have. Each day and each episode, each minute of filming I get to learn more and more and be more in-depth to what I\u2019m talking about. I do have the rudimentary knowledge to at least pull it off in the beginning. From the first to the third to the sixth episode, my knowledge grew exponentially. It was right in the wheelhouse, and I was having a great time.<\/p>\n

“It was one hell of a crew. We worked long hours. At the end of the day, they teamed me, Tu and Travis up to make this thing work with synergy. They are magicians. It\u2019s really awe-inspiring to see the production at work and make things happen.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
