NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) -It\u2019s a crazy time of the year, as the Nashville Predators battle for home ice, but it doesn\u2019t keep them from giving back.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) -It\u2019s a crazy time of the year, as the Nashville Predators battle for home ice, but it doesn\u2019t keep them from giving back.<\/p>\n

On Friday, the ice at Bridgestone Arena was transformed into a dance floor as Best Buddies Tennessee hosted its 2018 Prom.<\/p>\n

Best Buddies is the world\u2019s largest organization creating opportunities for millions of people dealing with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This event is always a favorite especially for the Predator\u2019s own Pekka Rinne and Roman Josi.<\/p>\n

The two have been involved in the best buddies organization for several years now and the relationships they\u2019ve built with their best buddies are truly special.<\/p>\n

Pekka Rinne, \u201cI started coming and I was lucky enough to meet Mike, so since that day me and Mike, we\u2019ve been best buddies.\u201d<\/p>\n

Roman Josi added, \u201cThis is such a great event the kids are having so much fun and I\u2019m so glad to be here and be apart of it.\u201d<\/p>\n

On this particular night it was all about having fun and letting loose and that\u2019s exactly what these two were able to do.<\/p>\n

\u201cI mean it\u2019s amazing, I\u2019ve met so many amazing kids and it\u2019s really something that I love to do and I\u2019m having a lot of fun,\u201d said Josi.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou know I\u2019m used to being at this rink people come and watch us but now it\u2019s time for Mike and his friends to celebrate,\u201d added Rinne.<\/p>\n

Just 8 years ago there were just ten schools, this year there were over 100 that participated. It\u2019s an event both Josi and Rinne look forward to attending again next year.<\/p>\n
