LAKE COUNTY, IL \u2014 A Lake County woman faces charges in connection with allegations she made a false 911 call and threatened to stab her neighbor’s wife earlier this month, authorities said Wednesday. <\/p>\n
The Lake County Sheriff’s Office was called to a home in the 33600 block of North Royal Oak Lane in unincorporated Grayslake on an Oct. 11 for a harassment complaint, Deputy Chief Christopher Covelli told Patch. They were told that Sarah Snyder had been harassing a neighbor. <\/p>\n
Deputies spoke with Snyder, cleared up the situation and left the scene, according to Covelli.<\/p>\n About five minutes later, Snyder called 911 to report a hate crime and assault. She told dispatchers her neighbor was racist and that he threatened to punch her after deputies left, Corelli said. <\/p>\n Deputies determined the alleged threat did not occur and that Snyder falsely reported the crime by calling 911. While she was being taken into custody, she resisted arrest, police said.<\/p>\n She was then placed into handcuffs and taken to the Lake County Jail. <\/p>\n \n Get more local news delivered straight to your inbox.
