The meals need to be ordered by Friday for deliveries to be organized.<\/p>\n<p>The community dinners have been taking place for more than 40 years, according to Wallingford Community Dinners, Inc. President Kathy Wallace. The Easter dinner returned as an in-person event last year after being put on hold by the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n<section class=\"styles_SubscribeForm__0dj5n\">\n<h2 class=\"styles_SubscribeForm__title__F_olP\">Find out what&#x27;s happening in Wallingfordwith free, real-time updates from Patch.<\/h2>\n<p>Wallingford Community Dinners, Inc. also sponsors annual dinners at Thanksgiving and Christmas, according to Wallace.<\/p>\n<p>Wallace said it takes \u201ca lot of planning, teamwork and lots of volunteers,\u201d to put on these events.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt takes between 75 and 100 volunteers to make this happen,\u201d Wallace told Patch.<\/p>\n<p>The work it takes is well worth it, according to Wallace.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt makes me feel great knowing that I am helping those in need,\u201d Wallace said. \u201cFor the community, I think we are providing a valuable service for those in need. In need, in our terms, can be those in financial need, the homebound, as well as those that would like some company on the holidays.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The meals are available to those in need in the Wallingford and surrounding communities.<\/p>\n<p>Wallingford Community Dinners, Inc. is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that \u201crelies on donations and grants to function,\u201d according to Wallace.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are happy to get donations of any amount,\u201d Wallace said.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone interested in making a donation, can mail it to Wallingford Community Dinners, Inc., P.O.
