SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ \u2013 Last week South Brunswick schools welcomed a new Assistant Principal to the district. <\/p>\n
Stacey Katz has been appointed as Assistant Principal at Brooks Crossing Elementary School. <\/p>\n
Katz has been at the school district for the past 26 years, teaching at Monmouth Junction Elementary School and then Greenbrook Elementary School. <\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m very happy to be here and appreciate our warm welcome,\u201d Katz told the Board of Education and community members during Thursday\u2019s meeting. <\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve never lived in South Brunswick but I do consider South Brunswick my home. I have been here for 26 years and every school I have ever taught in has been filled with amazing staff, student, families and a great community.\u201d <\/p>\n Katz started her career at Dean School teaching second grade. \u201cMy class attended my wedding ceremony,\u201d Katz said. <\/p>\n She taught at Monmouth Junction for 18 years and spent the next 10 years at Greenbrook Elementary. <\/p>\n \u201cI look forward to the school year ahead where we all work together for the success of our students. <\/p>\n Katz received her Bachelor\u2019s Degree from the College of New Jersey in Elementary Education and English Literature. She went on to earn her Master\u2019s at Rider University in Educational Leadership. <\/p>\n Have a correction or a news tip?
