TINLEY PARK, IL \u2014 An 18-hour standoff in Tinley Park was resolved in the early morning hours Friday, Tinley Park officials said. <\/p>\n

At approximately 10:36 a.m. Thursday, Cook County Sheriff\u2019s police were called with a report of a barricade situation at a home near 179th and Harlem Avenue. Sheriff\u2019s Police Hostage Barricade Team were at the scene for hours, “dealing with a distressed individual,” according to Tinley Park police. <\/p>\n

Harlem Avenue from 183rd to 175th streets was closed while authorities surrounded a home. Roads reopened early Friday. <\/p>\n

No injuries were reported throughout the incident, the sheriff’s office said Thursday afternoon. Tinley Park Police also refuted reports of shots fired.<\/p>\n

No other details have been provided as of 8:30 a.m. The Cook County Sheriff’s Office said a statement is forthcoming. <\/p>\n
