Manchester United and Chelsea will bring the curtain down on the\u00a0English season when they collide in the 137th FA Cup final in May.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Jose Mourinho’s Red Devils and Antonio Conte’s Blues are set to fight it out in front of a capacity crowd at Wembley for the right to get their hands on the prestigious trophy as they look to end their campaigns on a high.<\/p>\n

It’s an event that fans will be desperate to get to, but tickets are sure to be a rare commodity and plenty of people will no doubt\u00a0be left disappointed.<\/p>\n

With the game just a few weeks away, Goal takes a look at how much tickets for the FA Cup final cost, how to buy them and more.<\/p>\n

When is the 2018 FA Cup final? <\/h2>\n
\n

The 2018 FA Cup final is scheduled to take place on Saturday, May 19 and the Football Association has confirmed that the game will kick off at 17:15 BST (12:15 ET).<\/p>\n

As is customary, the final will be held at England’s ‘Home of Football’\u00a0Wembley Stadium, which has a capacity of 90,000.<\/p>\n

It is the third FA Cup final meeting between Manchester United and Chelsea, with both sides winning one each.<\/p>\n

United won the 1994 FA Cup by beating the Blues 4-0 at the old Wembley, as Mark Hughes, Brian McClair and Eric Cantona got on the scoresheet.<\/p>\n

A Mourinho-managed Chelsea defeated the Red Devils to win the 2007 edition, which was the first FA Cup final to be played at the new Wembley, and Didier Drogba scored the decisive goal in extra time.<\/p>\n

How much are FA Cup final tickets? <\/h2>\n
\n

Tickets for the 2018 FA Cup final range from \u00a345 to \u00a3145 for adults with pricing varying according to category, which indicates the area of the stadium that the seats are located.<\/p>\n

Category 1 tickets are the most expensive at \u00a3145, Category 2 follows at \u00a3115 and Category 3 tickets are priced at \u00a370. The cheapest tickets – Category 4 – cost \u00a345.<\/p>\n

Concession prices are also available, with Category 1 and 2 tickets costing \u00a325 less, while Category 3 and 4 concession\u00a0tickets come with a \u00a310 discount.<\/p>\n

The cost of the tickets has risen from last season, prompting criticism from some supporters. The Manchester United Supporters’ Trust (MUST) issued a statement hitting out at the increases.<\/p>\n

“The price of football at the top level is already extortionate. This latest decision is nothing more than opportunistic exploitation of fan loyalty,” the statement said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“We expect better from a body that claims to be the guardian of the game, especially in the oldest and most famous cup competition in world football.”<\/p>\n

As a contrast, the FA Cup final tickets are much cheaper than those for the Champions League final, which range from\u00a0\u20ac70 to\u00a0\u20ac450.<\/p>\n

They are around the same as tickets for the Europa League final, which cost from\u00a0\u20ac45 to\u00a0\u20ac150.<\/p>\n

How to buy\u00a0FA Cup final tickets <\/h2>\n
\n

You can be sure that tickets for the FA Cup final will be hard to come by.<\/p>\n

The FA has confirmed that each club will be allocated just over 28,000 tickets for the final and the clubs themselves will be the sole distributors of tickets to supporters.<\/p>\n

Manchester United are\u00a0running a ballot for their ticket allocation\u00a0and applications can be made online \u00a0until 08:00 on April 27. After the application window closes the club estimates that the ballot will take three days.<\/p>\n

The Red Devils have indicated that they are only accepting applications from season ticket holders who have purchased tickets for all seven of their home cup matches and they will then prioritise the ballot based on those individuals who applied for the most away games during the 2017-18 season.<\/p>\n

Chelsea have not yet confirmed how they will conduct ticket sales for the event, but they are likely to follow a similar method to United by rewarding the most loyal fans via their online ticket portals.<\/p>\n

Roughly 56,000 tickets are going directly to the fans of the two clubs but the FA says that 14,000 tickets will be distributed among the English ‘football family’, that is volunteers, regional associations, affiliated leagues and so on.<\/p>\n

Considering Wembley’s 90,000 capacity, that leaves around 20,000 tickets. As with other events of similar scale it\u00a0is likely that the remaining tickets will be taken up by commercial and broadcasting partners.<\/p>\n

Where will Man Utd & Chelsea fans be seated? <\/h2>\n
\n

Supporters of the two clubs will unsurprisingly be housed in opposite ends of the stadium, behind the goals.<\/p>\n

Man United fans will take up their seats in the west end of the stadium and Chelsea supporters will occupy the east end. The location of the two sets of fans takes into account their respective travel requirements.<\/p>\n

The FA has confimed that dedicated fan parks will be in operation outside of the stadium on each end, allowing supporters to mingle ahead of the game.<\/p>\n
