The growing popularity of wide leg pants has created some pretty outrageous options that are not flattering and my clients are struggling with the overwhelming selection. Of course, I am here to remedy that. Let’s talk logistics…<\/p>\n

Are Wide Leg Pants Flattering?<\/h2>\n

Yes, wide leg pants can be flattering! But it takes a lot more thought to create a flattering look with wide leg pants, than it does with skinny jeans. If you have especially wide hips, then wide leg pants can balance your body. But even then, they can add a lot of width if you don’t choose the best fit for your body type. Here are a few things to keep in mind when it comes to creating the most flattering silhouette with wide leg pants:<\/p>\n

  1. The width of structured wide leg pants shouldn’t be wider than your hips. This applies whether you have wide hips or narrow hips.<\/li>\n
  2. If you want to break this rule and wear pants that are wider than your hips, then you must<\/em> choose wide leg pants that are cropped. Showing the lean line of your ankles will create a slimmer silhouette. The other option would be to choose wide leg pants in a lighter material that drapes and moves well.<\/li>\n
  3. Wide leg pants must\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>be worn with shorter tops, cropped tops, or tops tucked into your pants. There are exceptions of course, but let’s stay focused.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    On top of finding the right width for your body type, flattering wide leg pants must also fit your hips, waist, crotch, and bum impeccably.     I’m sure you recognize these pants by now! These are truly the best wide-leg pants right now and I personally own them in several colors. They’re insanely comfortable\u00a0and<\/em> flattering. They are machine washable, but I recommend dry cleaning to keep their silhouette sharp.<\/p>\n

    These wide-leg pants are best for those of you with wider hips.<\/p>\n

    I call these pants my favorite ugly-hot jeans for good reasons! They’re flattering, comfortable, and eye-catching due to their unique design. This style of pant leg is different from your typical wide-leg pants, but they’re very on trend right now so I just had to share them with you while I had a chance.
