Cristiano Ronaldo has been voted the greatest player of Manchester United’s 25-year Premier League stay by fans of the Red Devils.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Real Madrid star came to prominence as a young winger at Old Trafford, after sealing a move from boyhood club Sporting.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He quickly became known for his goalscoring prowess, however, netting 118 times in 292 games while lifting three Premier League titles and the 2007-8 Champions League.\u00a0<\/p>\n

That form has seen him honoured by United supporters, who chose him ahead of Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes, the club’s official website revealed on Friday.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Rooney’s overhead kick in a Manchester derby against City in 2010-11 prevailed ahead of goals from Ronaldo and Van Persie.\u00a0<\/p>\n
