Thibaut Courtois has suggested that his future at Chelsea hangs on the club showing the ambition to match Manchester City and Manchester United in the Premier League.<\/p>\n

The Belgium international goalkeeper helped the Blues to a 1-0 FA Cup final victory over Manchester United on Saturday, but with just a year left on his contract, doubts surround his future.<\/p>\n

Real Madrid are one of the clubs interested in the 26-year-old and he has suggested that he could be ready to leave if his current employers cannot meet his ambitions.<\/p>\n

\u201cI love this club but we need to see how the club is going forward,\u201d he told BT Sport<\/em>. \u201cWe want to win trophies, but we want to play for the title, too. We need to see how Man City and United are spending. If Chelsea want to be on top, we need to show it.<\/p>\n

One major factor in Chelsea\u2019s future is the identity of their manager next season, which remains uncertain.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Antonio Conte is strongly tipped to leave the club in the summer and Courtois would not be drawn on the manager\u2019s future.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t think it\u2019s a question for the players. It\u2019s a question for the board,\u201d he said when asked how much the players want the Italian to stay.<\/p>\n

Courtois, though, did suggest that the players have suffered from the indecision, which has spread uncertainty around the squad.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere has to be a clear line for the club,\u201d he said. \u201cWe need clarity with where the club is going forward.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI think that this season, we were surrounded by rumours, and it\u2019s not easy to defend the title when you\u2019re being criticised all the time. We\u2019re happy today, but we\u2019re not happy about not reaching the Champions League.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou get questioned before games, after games, and eventually it comes into the group. We felt that there was a negative spirit and it\u2019s hard to raise above ourselves.
