In addition to her Oxygen show, Kocktails With Khlo\u00e9<\/em>, Kardashian will soon be hosting a new reality show called Revenge Body<\/em>, the cultural implications of whose title we won't even begin to unpack. All we really know so far is that potential contestants (both male and female) who want help getting in shape (apparently as a way to exact revenge on an ex or someone who previously body-shamed them) have to fill out a series of personal questions on the application for the show. Kardashian filled out some of the questions herself, and let's just say things got emotional.<\/p>\n One of the questions is "What are some of the most embarrassing moments you experienced as a kid?" Kardashian didn't hesitate to talk about the insecurity she felt about her body when she was younger: "When I was little and all my friends would be in their bathing suits at the beach or pool parties or summer camp, I would always be the chubby one. I never felt comfortable," writes Kardashian. "I would make up a story to get out of those situations. Back then, one-piece bathing suits weren't cute, and I wasn't going to be in a bikini! They'd be like, 'Come on, get in the pool!' I wish<\/em> they knew what it was doing to me."<\/p>\n She also goes on to talk about how adults would often unintentionally damage her self-esteem: "I was really chubby from age 10 to 14, and even teachers would always say to me, 'You're really Kim and Kourtney's younger sister?' They wouldn't outright say 'you're ugly' or 'you're fat,' but adults need to realize what their words do to kids. A 10-year-old can still pick up on that energy," she writes.<\/p>\n Kardashian also expands on a struggle that many women face: not being able to find your size in stores and being shamed for even being<\/em> that size. "I'd be out shopping and ask them if they had a size 8. Their response would be, 'No, we don't carry that size,'" writes Kardashian. "It's about how they said it, too. I would rather they just say, 'We sold out of that size.' Now that I run a clothing store, I would never, ever say, 'We don't carry that size.'"<\/p>\n Everything about this honest essay makes us want to hug Kardashian while simultaneously high-fiving her.
