Chelsea forward Alvaro Morata\u00a0has said farewell to team-mate Cesc\u00a0Fabregas with a heartfelt post on Instagram.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Fabregas is set to join Ligue\u00a01 side Monaco in the coming days, with Goal reporting earlier this week that a deal was nearing completion.<\/p>\n

The 31-year-old captained Chelsea against Nottingham Forest on Saturday, in what was likely his final appearance after four and a half seasons with the Blues.<\/p>\n

Fabregas\u00a0was subbed off late in the game and was emotional up on the pitch, taking his time to say a final farewell to the Stamford Bridge faithful.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Morata\u00a0scored both goals in\u00a0Saturday’s game, a 2-0 win over Forest in the FA Cup third round.<\/p>\n

After the match, Morata\u00a0took to Instagram to say goodbye to his fellow Spaniard.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“You don’t know how much I’m going to miss you!” Morata said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“To you and your wonderful family, thank you for helping us in every way possible.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“Thank you for all the moments we’ve lived and good luck in everything that you do!”<\/p>\n

Morata was not\u00a0the only Chelsea player to offer Fabregas\u00a0their best wishes on Saturday.\u00a0<\/p>\n
