{"id":3769,"date":"2019-02-28T12:12:57","date_gmt":"2019-02-28T12:12:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.incirliseviye.com\/2019\/02\/28\/barca-chief-on-coutinho-future-amid-man-utd-links\/"},"modified":"2024-12-02T08:44:24","modified_gmt":"2024-12-02T08:44:24","slug":"barca-chief-on-coutinho-future-amid-man-utd-links","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/onhee.com\/?p=3769","title":{"rendered":"Barca chief on Coutinho future amid Man Utd links"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Click:<a href=\"https:\/\/dajobd.com\/\">Heavy Duty Scanner<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Ernesto Valverde, Philippe Coutinho and Jordi Alba will all be staying at Barcelona this summer, according to the club&#8217;s president Josep Maria Bartomeu.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Coutinho<\/strong> had truly been <strong>the\u00a0red herring<\/strong>\u00a0that dragged on through the January transfer window to keep it vaguely interesting.<\/p>\n<p>It never seemed particularly likely that <strong>rumours linking him with\u00a0a move to Manchester United<\/strong>\u00a0would come to fruition, while even former club\u00a0Liverpool\u00a0and Premier League rivals\u00a0Chelsea\u00a0were reportedly interested.<\/p>\n<p>Coutinho has not yet truly settled at the Nou Camp since joining 12 months ago, with manager Valverde claimed to have\u00a0<strong>\u2018given up\u2019\u00a0on the Brazilian<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>However, along with his boss and left-back Alba, Coutinho is set to stay at the Spanish giants this summer.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Valverde has a contract for next year and he\u2019s happy to continue, and I want him to continue even if we don\u2019t win anything this season,&#8221; Bartomeu told <em>Marca<\/em>. &#8220;Being Bar\u00e7a coach is a heavy responsibility, but I think he\u2019s very settled at the club.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We expect a lot from Coutinho, we don\u2019t want to sell him, he\u2019s one of the good players we want to have.\u00a0There is no risk of Jordi Alba leaving, when two love each other so much in the end they understand each other.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Bartomeu also praised Lionel Messi and Ousmane Dembele&#8217;s form this season with news of a potential new contract for Messi.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We hope Dembele continues like this,&#8221; Bartomeu added. &#8220;He has great talent, every time he comes out to play, he\u2019s surprising us, I\u2019ve talked to him at 1.30 in the morning, he wants to succeed, he\u2019s winning the heart of the Catalans.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;There will be a renewal for Leo, he ends his contract in 2021 and, as he is playing, we have Messi for many more years, when he thinks it is convenient, we will do it.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Click:Heavy Duty Scanner Ernesto Valverde, Philippe Coutinho and Jordi Alba will all be staying at Barcelona this summer, according to the club&#8217;s president Josep Maria Bartomeu.
