Wallabies winger Henry Speight has been voted the Brumbies’ Brett Robinson Playerrs’ Player after a return to his best form in 2017.<\/p>\n
Speight was one of just two Brumbies to play every game in 2017, under Stephen Larkham’s rotation policy, voted by his peers as the best for the Australian conference winners this season.<\/p>\n
The 29-year-old finished with seven tries from his 16 outings this season, including doubles against the Waratahs and the Rebels, in what was his biggest tally since 2013.<\/p>\n
Allan Alaalatoa capped off a breakout season at tighthead with the best forward gong, while halfback Joe Powell was given the best back.<\/p>\n

Powell stepped up into the starting nine role after a knee injury to Tomas Cubelli and the youngster made the most of his chance to take the reins, going on to make his Wallabies debut in June. <\/p>\n
The 22-year-old was also recognised by the club’s fans as the best player, voted Stallion of The Year, with 21 per cent of the fans’ vote, just two per cent ahead of his closest competition.<\/p>\n
His halves partner, Wharenui Hawera, took out the Shawn Mackay Most Outstanding New Talent prize, after starting in every Brumbies outing in his debut Super Rugby year.<\/p>\n
Flanker Tom Cusack was named the community player of the year, for his impact and work in the local area.<\/p>\n
Outgoing coach Stephen Larkham left with one final trophy, voted as the Gary Quinlivan Award recipient, for a person who has made an outstanding contribution to the game. <\/p>\n
