There is no problem with Mauro Icardi after the striker was in\u00a0Madrid for\u00a0the Copa Libertadores final just two days before a crucial Champions League fixture,\u00a0according to Inter\u00a0coach Luciano Spalletti.<\/p>\n

The Argentina international\u00a0was in the crowd at the Santiago Bernabeu for the second leg of the final between Boca Juniors and bitter rivals River Plate, the latter emerging\u00a0victorious after extra time to win a fourth title.<\/p>\n

Inter\u00a0face PSV on Tuesday for their last match of Group B, in which they currently sit third behind Tottenham and Barcelona,\u00a0as they seek\u00a0to continue their progress in their own continental competition.<\/p>\n

Icardi’s presence in Madrid on Sunday has been a talking point before that game \u2013\u00a0when Inter need to pick up more points than Tottenham to qualify \u2013\u00a0but Spalletti is perplexed as to why it is an issue for some.<\/p>\n

“I do not see the problem,” he told a news conference.<\/p>\n

“There was the Juventus delegation and the Inter executives.\u00a0I do not see where the problem is.<\/p>\n

“It’s like going to dinner somewhere else, it was with the wife to see a show.”<\/p>\n

Spalletti confirmed that\u00a0Matias Vecino and\u00a0fellow midfielder Radja Nainggolan\u00a0are\u00a0unlikely to be involved\u00a0at San Siro\u00a0against the Eredivisie champions.<\/p>\n

Inter know they need a helping hand from Barcelona\u00a0even if they beat PSV.<\/p>\n

Ernesto Valverde’s\u00a0side host Spurs and have already qualified as group winners, yet Spalletti has urged his players not to worry about the game at Camp Nou.<\/p>\n

“The only mistake we can make is worrying about the game in Barcelona,” he said.<\/p>\n

“They’re serious professionals there. We just need to win our match.”<\/p>\n

The previous encounter of the two sides at Wembley Stadium in October finished 4-2 to the Catalan club so Inter will be hoping for a similar outcome on Tuesday.\u00a0<\/p>\n

They will also take confidence from the fact that they beat PSV 2-1 in Holland\u00a0thanks to a 60th minute winner from Icardi.<\/p>\n
