LINCOLNWOOD, IL — A swan on the loose in a residential neighborhood was escorted to safety by police in Lincolnwood Friday.<\/p>\n

A video posted Monday by the Lincolnwood Police Department shows the swan waddling through puddles in the area of Karlov and Lincoln avenues. <\/p>\n

Police said officers on “swan patrol,” along with staff from the village’s public works department assisted the swan to ensure its safety. <\/p>\n

Officers got a report of the bird in the middle of the road on Karlov Avenue shortly before 1 p.m., according to Lieutenant Travis Raypole.
