The public ballot online entry system for the 2020 Virgin Money London Marathon is open to all applicants today,\u00a0Race Day (Sunday 28 April).<\/p>\n
Applicants from the UK should\u00a0enter at \u00a0ballot.virginmoneylondonmarathon.com<\/p>\n
International applicants (from outside the UK) should enter the international ballot\u00a0www.virginmoneylondonmarathon.com\/enter-now-international<\/p>\n
This is the first time that the ballot system has opened on Race Day and the ballot will remain\u00a0open for six days to give everyone who would like to enter the event a fair chance to do. It will\u00a0close\u00a0at 17:00 on Friday 3 May.<\/p>\n
All those who enter the ballot will find out whether or not they have been successful by the end of\u00a0October.<\/p>\n
Hugh Brasher, Event Director of\u00a0the Virgin Money London Marathon, said: “Our mission is Inspiring Activity and we\u00a0know that watching the coverage of the world’s greatest marathon on BBC Sport does just that. We hope that opening the ballot on Race Day will encourage viewers and spectators to improve their physical and mental health by getting active\u00a0and take the first steps to being able\u00a0to run the 40th London Marathon on Sunday 26 April 2020.”<\/p>\n
