{"id":9514,"date":"2020-08-13T12:00:15","date_gmt":"2020-08-13T12:00:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.incirliseviye.com\/?p=9514"},"modified":"2024-11-29T08:40:16","modified_gmt":"2024-11-29T08:40:16","slug":"rixo-moves-to-monthly-drop-model","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/onhee.com\/?p=9514","title":{"rendered":"Rixo moves to monthly drop model"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Click:<a href=\"https:\/\/kgtolbs.site\/\">kilograms to pounds<\/a><\/p>\n<p>London-based fashion label Rixo has unveiled that it is moving away from<br \/>\nthe traditional fashion calendar to produce seasonal collections and will<br \/>\ninstead move to a drop model format. <\/p>\n<p>Rixo stated that going forward it would choose to deliver pieces by<br \/>\nmonthly drops in an effort &ldquo;to drive even more timely, conscious and<br \/>\nconsidered production&rdquo;. <\/p>\n<p>The contemporary womenswear brand launched its first official monthly<br \/>\ndrop, its January 2021 collection, with a digital presentation during<br \/>\nCopenhagen Fashion Week&rsquo;s new hybrid format. <\/p>\n<p>The digital short film featured a mix of video and still imagery and<br \/>\nincludes four Scandinavian influencers, Marianne Theodorsen, Sara Flaaen,<br \/>\nNnenna Echem and Nicole Huisman, described by the brand as founders<br \/>\nHenrietta Rix and Orlagh McCloskey&rsquo;s &ldquo;favourite Scandinavian women&rdquo; wearing<br \/>\nhero pieces from the January 2021 drop. <\/p>\n<p>The aim of the film was to allow each influencer the chance to showcase<br \/>\nRixo&rsquo;s new product drop in &ldquo;their own way,&rdquo; explained the brand in a way<br \/>\nthat was &ldquo;candid, minimalistic and elegant&rdquo;. With each influencer choosing<br \/>\na piece to wear from the collection that made them feel &ldquo;most comfortable<br \/>\nand empowered&rdquo;. <\/p>\n<p>The collection itself showcased blooming prints for January 2021, with a<br \/>\nmulticoloured tie-dye &#8216;Spring Meadow&rsquo; print contrasted against navy, green<br \/>\nand mustard gingham check prints. There is a mix of dresses and separates<br \/>\nas well as knitwear pieces, featuring details including exaggerated<br \/>\nprairie-inspired collars, intricate embroidery, keyhole necklines, pretty<br \/>\npuffed sleeves and full of frills. <\/p>\n<h2>Rixo to step away from traditional fashion calendar with monthly drop<br \/>\nmodel<\/h2>\n<p>Rixo co-founders, Henrietta Rix and Orlagh McCloskey said in a<br \/>\nstatement: &ldquo;We&rsquo;re so thrilled to be part of the official Copenhagen Fashion<br \/>\nWeek schedule. It was the perfect place to reveal our move to monthly drops<br \/>\n&ndash; an effort we decided to take to ensure that as a business we can be more<br \/>\nagile and produce in an even more considered and sustainable way. <\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Scandinavian women and their style to us is completely empowered and<br \/>\nelegant &#8211; we couldn&rsquo;t wish for more perfect group of women than those who<br \/>\nfeatured to take part in our digital showcase film to unveil our upcoming<br \/>\npieces.&rdquo; <\/p>\n<p>There have been many discussion around the current fashion calendar,<br \/>\namplified with the current coronavirus crisis, and Rixo isn&rsquo;t the first to<br \/>\nsuggest a new way of doing things going forward. The British label, a firm<br \/>\nfavourite on the London Fashion Week schedule has already experimented with<br \/>\ncapsule see-now-buy-now collections, alongside larger collection drops. <\/p>\n<p>The brand explained that the success from those see-now-buy-now<br \/>\ncollections meant it made sense to move to a monthly drop model where they<br \/>\ncould better edit and time the drop of new products. <\/p>\n<p>This doesn&rsquo;t mean that Rixo will not present at another fashion week,<br \/>\ninstead, the brand announced that it will show in their usual London<br \/>\nFashion Week slot come September, where they will unveil their March 2021<br \/>\nmonthly drop. <\/p>\n<p>All pieces shown in Rixo&rsquo;s Copenhagen Fashion Week film will be stocked<br \/>\nonline and in-store with Rixo and global wholesale partners, including<br \/>\nNet-a-porter, Harrods, Selfridges, Galeries Lafayette and Moda Operandi,<br \/>\nfrom January 2021.
