– There is still no official word on where next year’s Royal Rumble will be held. The persistent rumor is that the event will be held in Los Angeles, CA but WWE has continually denied that and recently announced a California tour at the end of October. ESPN listed the Rumble as 1/22 in Los Angeles, but WWE released a statement that the report was incorrect and that they can’t release the location yet.
– – WWE recently announced the next Takeover special for 11/19 in Toronto, which will be the night before Survivor Series in the same city. This will make that weekend a “destination weekend” as Raw on 11/21 is also scheduled for Toronto (originally it was to be held in Montreal). With this being one of the WWE’s bigger weekends, it will help elevate Survivor Series back to a “big four” PPV, which is a PPV that will contain talent from both brands. Royal Rumble, WrestleMania and SummerSlam are already firmly established as the top three PPVs whereas Survivor Series hasn’t been included in that group for a number of years.
