AJ Styles Name-Drops Undertaker, nWo & More Legends In Raw Return

The Phenomenal One is back!

AJ Styles returned to Monday Night Raw this evening, for the first time since suffering a shoulder injury during the 2020 Men’s Royal Rumble. He took a spear from the returning Edge during the match, over-rotated in selling the move and landed awkwardly.

It looks like a few weeks off gave the former world champion a renewed energy, as Styles wasted no time in calling out Superstars and legends left and right, invoking names like The Undertaker, Hulk Hogan and the nWo, current WWE Champion Brock Lesnar and many others.

He even stole the line “Who’s Next?” at one point during his short speech, perhaps throwing a shady nod towards Goldberg, who is back this Friday night on Smackdown, and who is currently slated to face The Fiend for the Universal title in Saudi Arabia next week.

In the end, Styles’ segment simply resulted in Ricochet, the current #1 contender to Lesnar’s title, hitting the ring to answer what he believed to be an open challenge. He then faced Ken Anderson in singles action, picking up a well-earned victory over The O.C.

As previously reported, there were at one point tentative plans for AJ Styles to face The Undertaker at this year’s WrestleMania in Tampa, so they could be planting seeds for that match.
