It was recently reported that WWE Hall of Famer Adam Copeland, better known as Edge, would be stepping away from his long-running podcast, The E&C Pod of Awesomeness, for unknown reasons.
Following the announcement, rumors and even a few significant reports were released claiming that the “Rated-R Superstar” was making a return to the wrestling ring for the first time since his career-ending neck surgery in 2011.
Edge took to Twitter on Friday night stating, “No I’m not and no I’m not”, which would appear to be a direct response to a report from @FightOracle claiming that he had been “medically cleared to turn to in ring competition” and was “under contract” with WWE.
The 11-time world champion has not wrestled a match since WrestleMania XXVII where he retained the World Heavyweight Championship against Alberto del Rio. One week later, Edge surrendered the title and announced that he was forced to retire from active competition due to cervical spinal stenosis following the results of an MRI.
No I’m not and no I’m not.
