Aleister Black Added To Growing List Of WWE Stars Not Going To Saudi Arabia

You can add Aleister Black to the list of names who won’t be appearing at the upcoming WWE Super Showdown event in Saudi Arabia.

According to John Pollock of Post Wrestling, the former NXT Champion is among a list of names that includes Kevin Owens, Smackdown Tag Team Champion Daniel Bryan, and Sami Zayn, who will not be in attendance at the controversial event.

No specific reason was given for Black’s absence, but it was Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com who first reported that Owens told WWE officials he didn’t want to return to Saudi Arabia, after working the Greatest Royal Rumble last year.

Sami Zayn has not been allowed to attend the events due to his Syrian heritage, although its unclear whether or not he would anyways, and Daniel Bryan decided prior to the Crown Jewel event that he would no longer be a part of WWE events taking place in Saudi Arabia. He and Rowan lost a non-title match to The Usos during the Money in the Bank kickoff, but were not used on television this week.
