Welcome to our exclusive live coverage of WWE RAW, the go-home show before this weekend’s WWE TLC pay-per-view. Feel free to discuss tonight’s episode in the comments section below.

— Michael Cole welcomes us to San Diego, CA as the Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins makes his way down to the ring to kick things off. We are reminded that WWE TLC is this coming Sunday where the Kingslayer will defend his title against the “Lunatic Fringe” Dean Ambrose.

OPENING SEGMENT

Seth Rollins wasted zero time in calling out General Manager-elect Baron Corbin. The Lone Wolf eventually sauntered down to the ring and told Rollins that if he wants to talk they can have a conversation backstage in his office.

The champ cut him off and ranted about how badly RAW sucks right now with Corbin in charge. He said The Revival are amazing and should be fighting for the titles, but he’s got them in Lucha House Rules matches that nobody understands. Rollins mocked him and said every decision he’s made so far has been to mask his own insecurities — if Corbin doesn’t believe him, maybe he should book more urination segments.

Hold on. Did Vince McMahon write a bunch of terrible angles just to mock his own ideas on television? I guess we’re just taking a metaphorical urination on kayfabe tonight…

Rollins turned his attention to Brock Lesnar, wondering where the Universal Champion was heading into WWE TLC this Sunday. He asked Corbin how long it’s been since Lesnar has competed in a match on Monday Night RAW (16 years), and called him a disgrace to the world title and to the company as a whole.

At this point Corbin started getting pissed off and threatened to handle Rollins himself. The Kingslayer realized this and started intentionally pushing his buttons, calling him a “coward” over and over again, and challenging him to a Tables, Ladders & Chairs match right there in San Diego. Corbin of course refused and said he would destroy Rollins, but after being called a “coward” about a dozen more times he finally agreed to the match under one major condition — the Intercontinental Championship will be on the line!

BACKSTAGE SEGMENT

Rollins was interviewed after a commercial break, and asked if he was ready to defend his title on such short notice. The champ said he was steadfast in what he said about Corbin, and part of that is having to take a stand. He said if he can’t beat Corbin tonight in the TLC match, he doesn’t deserve to have the Intercontinental title to begin with.

RAW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP HANDICAP MATCH
AOP & DRAKE MAVERICK vs. BOBBY ROODE & CHAD GABLE

Chad Gable started things out for his team but quickly fell to the champions’ numbers game. Maverick would tag in and quickly take a few shots once his opponent was on the mat, then tag out before he got caught. Eventually Roode made the hot tag and sent AOP over the ropes to the floor, then threw Maverick outside crashing through his boys, as we head to commercial.

During the break AOP somehow took control back, working over Gable with alternating tags as we came back. More of the same shenanigans from Maverick, as they once again built to the hot tag to Roode. He got caught coming off the top rope into a big belly-to-belly suplex. AOP set up for the Super Collider, but Gable countered out with a headscissors. He got sent over the ropes and Maverick tagged in to steal the pin on Roode, who did take the Super Collider, but the Glorious One rolled him up for a quick pin!
