Velveteen Dream Pays Tribute to Hollywood Hulk Hogan at NXT Takeover: WarGames

The Velveteen Dream is one of the most charismatic Superstars in NXT today. He always delivers in the ring and he often does so with his own unique flair. This was especially true at NXT Takeover: WarGames on November 17.

The Dream faced Tommaso Ciampa for the NXT Championship at the event and once again, fans were in for a treat. The Dream came down to the ring dressed in the familiar nWo gimmick of Hollywood Hulk Hogan. While he was wearing black and purple instead of black and white, The Dream’s point was not lost on the Houston crowd.

This is not the first time that The Velveteen Dream paid homage to Hulk Hogan. The Dream arrived at Takeover: Chicago on June 16 in Hogan’s trademark red and yellow. He even wore the dew-rag and feather boa to the ring for good measure.

Many WWE fans believe that it’s only a matter of time until The Dream and The Hulkster come face to face in the ring. The two men have exchanged words on Twitter and it seems inevitable that they will cross paths in WWE at some point.

It’s unknown if Hogan will wrestle again and if he does, the opponent may not be The Velveteen Dream. The Dream did not win his title match against Ciampa. Now fans are left wondering what will happen next with NXT’s most unique attraction.
