WWE Possibly Altering Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair’s Creative Direction Due to Fan Reaction

WWE fans have been giving Becky Lynch thunderous applause for her recent attacks on “former best friend Charlotte Flair”, which began at SummerSlam. Lynch’s latest attack came on Smackdown Live this week, after Flair successfully defended the Smackdown Women’s Title against Carmella.

According to John Pollock of Post Wrestling, WWE might be altering Lynch’s creative direction in the company based on recent fan reaction to her heel turn, which has proven to WWE that fans do not want to boo The Irish Lasskicker.

Pollock was backstage at WWE Smackdown this week in Toronto, and noted sources informed him WWE is likely tweaking Lynch’s creative direction and altering the overall storyline involving her and Flair. Whereas WWE’s initial plans were to have Lynch play the heel and Flair play the babyface, the story WWE likely will be telling that two former best friends feel they are right, will not back down from one another, and both lay “claim” to the Smackdown Women’s Title.

The storyline adjustment will stray from the traditional babyface vs heel dynamic, with Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair not assuming the strict face or heel role.
