According to PWInsider.com, on June 29th the company applied to trademark the name “Dr. Shelby”, who made his return to WWE TV on Raw last week in a therapy angle with Sasha Banks and Bayley. WWE opting to trademark the name could be an indication that WWE plans to continue using the character on TV, but it could simply mean the company wants to own the character name.
The last time the Dr. Shelby character appeared on WWE TV, he worked a lengthy angle with Kane and Daniel Bryan, so it’s very possible he could be around for a bit while Banks and Bayley feud on Raw.
