New Japan Pro Wrestling has announced Rey Mysterio will be in-action at the upcoming Dominion event on June 9th. The announcement comes on the heels of the promotion officially confirming Chris Jericho vs Tetsuya Naito will also take place at Dominion.
Mysterio was previously scheduled to face Jushin Liger in a dream match at the Strong Style Evolved event in Long Beach, CA back in March, however he was pulled from the bout when he suffered a biceps injury at a Northeast Wrestling event several weeks before the Long Beach event.
Despite not being able to compete against Liger, Mysterio did make a surprise appearance at the Strong Style Evolved event, and promised the fans he would compete for NJPW as soon as he was medically cleared to do so.
Mysterio has since been cleared to return to the ring, and most recently competed in the WWE Greatest Royal Rumble match in Saudi Arabia.
