New Japan Pro Wrestling’s annual Best of the Super Juniors tournament kicks off Friday morning at Korakuen Hall, broadcast live on New Japan World starting at 5:30am EDT.
The show will feature four matches from the A Block, headlined by reigning IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion Will Ospreay taking on Bullet Club’s newest member, “Bone Soldier’ Taiji Ishimori in what may be the most heavily anticipated bout of the entire tournament. Flip Gordon will also take on ACH, tag team specialists collide as Yoh of Roppongi 3K faces Bushi of Los Ingobernables de Japon, and finally it will be a battle of the veterans as Tiger Mask challenges Yoshinobu Kanemaru.
In the undercard, members of the B Block will team up to promote all the big singles bouts heading our way on night two, which takes place Saturday morning, same time and place. Perhaps the most interesting collision of the tag team matchups will see LIJ members Hiromu Takahashi and EVIL facing Bullet Club’s Chase Owens and “The Villain” Marty Scurll in what should be an outstanding contest.
