Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic – First Round Match
RIDDICK MOSS & TITO SABBATELLI vs. ERIC YOUNG & ALEXANDER WOLFE

Wolfe starts things off for Sanity just bludgeoning Moss with forearms and clubbing blows, but is caught from behind by an illegal attack from Sabbatelli who quickly hangs his opponent up in the ropes. They manage to alternate in with quick tags, keeping Wolfe off his feet and isolated for several minutes, but things break down when Tito gets cocky and accidentally decks his own partner off the apron.

Young makes the hot tag and goes wild with rights and lefts, taking down both guys and brawling with them all around the ringside area. He nearly gets the pin on Sabbatelli, but Moss is there to pull his partner out of the ring at the last second. Nikki Cross wasn’t happy about that and came flying off the apron with a crossbody to take him out; the referee was distracted and didn’t see it, so the match continues. Sanity hits Sabbatelli with a back suplex and diving neckbreaker combination for the 1-2-3.

Winners: Sanity

– Tommaso Ciampa made his way to the ring and took a microphone, but the heat on him was absolutely deafening. Every time he tried to speak the crowd chanted “CIAMPA SUCKS” and “WE WANT JOHNNY” or “JOHNNY WRESTLING” over and over again. Eventually he gave up and threw down the microphone, starring at the commentary table

LACEY EVANS vs. DAKOTA KAI

The two locked up and Lacey immediately took control. She brought her opponent to the mat and stretched out her neck in a nice backbreaker variation. Kai rolled her up out of nowhere and got a three-count which shocked everyone, including her.

Winner: Dakota Kai

– While Kai was celebrating her victory Shayna Baszler’s music hit and the “Queen of Spades” slowly made her way to the ring. Lacey had the sense to get the heck out of dodge but Kai foolishly stood her ground. The two went face-to-face until NXT Women’s Champion Ember Moon came to the rescue, telling Dakota to leave the ring. She cut a short, awkward promo about not backing down from a bully no matter what, and a swarm of referees hit the ring to get between them. The crowd chanted “LET THEM FIGHT!” until Baszler took a cheap shot, cold-clocking the champion and nearly knocking her out cold. She tried to lock in a cross armbraker from the top rope, but Kai came out of nowhere and kicked Shayna in the head to break the hold! Moon off the top rope with the Eclipse!
