“The Manassas Roaming Rooster location has closed recently. It was a pop-up location, which means it was temporary and not a permanent establishment,” a Roaming Rooster spokesperson told Patch. “We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.”
The Manassas facility opened its doors at 9221 Sudley Road in September. The storefront used to host a Five Guys restaurant.

When it opened, Roaming Rooster did not mention to reporters that the Manassas facility was a pop-up location that would close within the year.
“We’re very excited to open our new restaurant in Manassas,” owner Biniyam Habtemariam said in a news release in September. “The city has such a great food scene and a lot of growth going on.”
Roaming Rooster began as a food truck in Washington, D.C. in 2015. The owners pride themselves on serving free-range, grain-fed, antibiotic-free chicken. “Our mission is to provide quality comfort food that our customers can feel good about eating,” the company says on its website. “Our biggest motivator is making people happy.”
Roaming Rooster operates ten other restaurants in the D.C. region, including facilities in Chantilly, Burke, and Vienna.
