LAKE COUNTY, IL — A Lake County woman faces charges in connection with allegations she made a false 911 call and threatened to stab her neighbor’s wife earlier this month, authorities said Wednesday.
The Lake County Sheriff’s Office was called to a home in the 33600 block of North Royal Oak Lane in unincorporated Grayslake on an Oct. 11 for a harassment complaint, Deputy Chief Christopher Covelli told Patch. They were told that Sarah Snyder had been harassing a neighbor.
Deputies spoke with Snyder, cleared up the situation and left the scene, according to Covelli.

About five minutes later, Snyder called 911 to report a hate crime and assault. She told dispatchers her neighbor was racist and that he threatened to punch her after deputies left, Corelli said.
Deputies determined the alleged threat did not occur and that Snyder falsely reported the crime by calling 911. While she was being taken into custody, she resisted arrest, police said.

She was then placed into handcuffs and taken to the Lake County Jail.
