PHILADELPHIA, PA — The lottery for the Broad Street Run, a crown jewel of American road running and one of the largest races in the world, is now open.
The lottery will be open from Thursday Feb. 1 to Feb. 15 at 11:59 p.m. Up to 40,000 runners will be accepted.
Runners will be notified of the status of their application the week of Feb. 19. To register, see here.

The 10 mile course is almost perfectly straight and flat, with a slight net downhill, making for scorching fast times.
Starting it north Philadelphia, the course runs down Broad the entire way, passing Temple University, City Hall, marching bands, and thousands of spectators before winding past the stadiums at ending at the Navy Yard.

The 2024 event will take place on Sunday, May 5, at 7:30 a.m.
