PETERS TOWNSHIP, PA — A Peters man has been sentenced to 11-1/2 to 23 months in jail after pleading guilty to involuntary manslaughter charges following the death of a man in 2021.
Zachary Blake, 23, received the sentence on Tuesday following the death of Mark Thompson. The two got into an altercation outside of the Loose Moose Saloon on Brownsville Road in Baldwin.
Thompson, 51, was taken to two area hospitals after the attack and died several days later.

Blake initially was charged with homicide, but the charge was reduced to involuntary manslaughter after the defense had a forensic pathologist testify that Thompson officially died from a cardiac event rather than the head injuries he suffered during the altercation.
