Phoenixville's Dogwood Festival To Feature 'Extra Long Parade'

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — One of Phoenixville’s oldest and most beloved festivals has announced its schedule for this year’s event.

The 81st annual Dogwood Festival will take place on Wednesday, May 14 through Saturday, May 18. Hours will be 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. during the week, and 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday.

The “extra long” parade will take place at 1 p.m. on Saturday, and will coincide with the 175th birthday of Phoenixville as a borough, and the 150th birthday of the Phoenixville Fire Department.

Rides, food, drinks, vendors, music, and various other entertainment highlights the event.

All-you-can-ride wristbands will be available each day for $35, or you can buy a “superband” for the whole festival for $65.

The Dogwood Beer Garden will be set up on 3rd Avenue from Thursday through Saturday.

Much of the festival’s activities take place in Reeves Park at the Jaycees Operations Bandshell.

Since 1943, the Dogwood Festival has honored the military with a family fun celebration and the area’s largest parade on Armed Forces Day.
