CHADDS FORD TOWNSHIP, PA — The upcoming HBO series “Task” will again be shutting down roads in Delaware County for production, PennDOT confirmed to Patch.
According to PennDOT, the Mark Ruffalo-led production will be filming in Chadds Ford Township
Due to the production, Beaver Dam and Smithbridge roads in Chadds Ford will be closed Monday, July 8 to Thursday, July 11.

The closures will be in place from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. those days.
During the Beaver Dam Road closure, drivers will be directed to use Brandywine Creek Road, Route 92/Ramsey Road, and Beaver Valley Road. The road will be closed between Brandywine Creek and Beaver Valley roads.

Smithbridge Road driver will be detoured to Ridge Road and U.S. 202. The road will be closed and detoured between Ridge Road and Heyburn Road.
Local access will be maintained up to the work zone.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work areas because backups and delays will occur.
All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
Ruffalo was recently spotted at the Delaware County Government Center and Courthouse to shoot scenes for the new HBO show, which is a sort of follow-up to the hit series “Mare of Easttown.”

“Task” stars Mark Ruffalo, whose role is a “damaged” FBI agent, the actor told Deadline.
“Task” has filmed all over the region over the past several months, including in Ridley Township, Edgmont Township, Aston Township, Upper Chichester Township, Phoenixville Township, and Schuylkill Township.
Ruffalo is previously starred in another Delaware County-set production in 2014’s “Foxcatcher.” Ruffalo played wrestler Dave Schultz, who was killed by John Eleuthère du Pont at du Pont’s farm in Newtown Square in 1996.
