Suffolk Police Searching For Suspect In Early Morning Break-In

MASTIC BEACH, NY — Suffolk detectives are searching for the suspect in an early morning home break-in Mastic Beach last week, a police spokesperson confirmed Monday.

At around 1 a.m. on Aug. 26, the homeowner awoke and found a man inside the Whittier Drive home, but the man ended up bolting from the home empty-handed, according to police.

A detective highlighted the break-in in a post to the Ring App and requested that neighbors in the area check their cameras for anyone on foot or a bicycle between about 12 a.m. and 2 a.m.
