Fire Breaks Out At Villanova Home Early Tuesday Morning

VILLANOVA, PA — Firefighters battled a house fire in Villanova early Tuesday morning, according to the Lower Merion Fire Department.

The fire broke out at a home at 2181 N. Stone Ridge Lane in Villanova at about 12:57 a.m., the fire department said.

Officials said the homeowner reported their house was on fire, with fire coming through the roof.

Crews were able to get the fire under control in about 90 minutes, but crews remained on scene until 4:45 a.m., according to the fire department.

The home suffered severe damage to the attic and second floor, while the first floor and basement were damaged by water, officials said.
