SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ – Last week South Brunswick schools welcomed a new Assistant Principal to the district.
Stacey Katz has been appointed as Assistant Principal at Brooks Crossing Elementary School.
Katz has been at the school district for the past 26 years, teaching at Monmouth Junction Elementary School and then Greenbrook Elementary School.

“I’m very happy to be here and appreciate our warm welcome,” Katz told the Board of Education and community members during Thursday’s meeting.
“I’ve never lived in South Brunswick but I do consider South Brunswick my home. I have been here for 26 years and every school I have ever taught in has been filled with amazing staff, student, families and a great community.”

Katz started her career at Dean School teaching second grade. “My class attended my wedding ceremony,” Katz said.
She taught at Monmouth Junction for 18 years and spent the next 10 years at Greenbrook Elementary.
“I look forward to the school year ahead where we all work together for the success of our students.
Katz received her Bachelor’s Degree from the College of New Jersey in Elementary Education and English Literature. She went on to earn her Master’s at Rider University in Educational Leadership.
