TINLEY PARK, IL — An 18-hour standoff in Tinley Park was resolved in the early morning hours Friday, Tinley Park officials said.

At approximately 10:36 a.m. Thursday, Cook County Sheriff’s police were called with a report of a barricade situation at a home near 179th and Harlem Avenue. Sheriff’s Police Hostage Barricade Team were at the scene for hours, “dealing with a distressed individual,” according to Tinley Park police.
Harlem Avenue from 183rd to 175th streets was closed while authorities surrounded a home. Roads reopened early Friday.

No injuries were reported throughout the incident, the sheriff’s office said Thursday afternoon. Tinley Park Police also refuted reports of shots fired.
No other details have been provided as of 8:30 a.m. The Cook County Sheriff’s Office said a statement is forthcoming.
