Keith Brown Declares Victory 12th NY State Assembly District: 'Thank You'

SUFFOLK COUNTY, NY — Keith Brown (R—Northport) declared victory in the New York 12th Assembly District after unofficial vote totals have him leading Democratic challenger Thomas Cox 37,021 votes to 27,456 votes after Tuesday’s election.

Brown said he is “proud” to announce his victory.

“It is my honor to be able to continue to help create a safer, smarter and cleaner Long Island and
New York state for our communities,” Brown told Patch in a statement.

The 12th State Assembly District covers Northport, East Northport, Centerport, Eaton’s Neck, Asharoken and portions of Fort Salonga, Halesite, Greenlawn, Commack, Elwood, Dix Hills, Deer Park, and North Bay Shore.

“To the residents of the 12th Assembly District, thank you for putting your faith in me — I am very
excited to continue our work together for another two years. To my volunteers, staff, family and friends who sacrificed so much to help me win, thank you for your hard work and dedication. To my wonderful wife, Barbara, and my three boys, thank you for your sacrifice and incredible support so that I am able to serve.

Brown filled out a questionnaire ahead of the 2024 election detailing his plans and policies.
