PLAINFIELD, IL — Top elected seats in Plainfield could shuffle come April, as the terms for mayor and three trustee positions are up for election.
The mayoral role, as well as Village Board seats currently held by trustees Patricia Kalkanis, Cally Larson and Tom Ruane will be up for election April 1, 2025. The current elected officials, all voted into office in 2021, will remain in their elected roles until their term ends April 20, 2025.
The four positions are valid for a four-year term.

So far, incumbent Mayor John Argoudelis, former Trustee Kevin Calkins and current trustee Margie Bonuchi filed for the position of village president or mayor. Peter Adamson, Siv Panicker, Vanessa Sula and Ruane filed for trustee positions.
After circulating their petitions for three months, candidates running for office began filing their petitions at 9 a.m. Nov. 12 for the upcoming election. The filing period in Plainfield will end at 5 p.m. Monday.
