Four Man Utd players pay tribute to Mourinho after sacking

Just four players have paid tribute to Jose Mourinho on social media after Manchester United sacked him on Tuesday morning.

Over 48 hours later and only Jesse Lingard, Eric Bailly, Diogo Dalot and Angel Gomes have posted a message of thanks to their former boss.

Not one of our five Man Utd players sorry to see Mourinho go have had anything to say –  but that could be down to not wanting to get involved in the furore surrounding his departure.

Mourinho fell out with a number of players during his time in charge, including several high-profile disagreements with Paul Pogba, with reports claiming he lost the dressing room towards the end of his reign.

Since Mourinho’s departure, reports have claimed that Pogba high-fived team-mates in the dressing room on learning the news, while he was heard shouting ‘He f**ked with the wrong baller‘.

Molde boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been brought in until the end of the campaign and will be joined by first-team coach Mike Phelan, who will work alongside Michael Carrick and Kieran McKenna.
