Ryan Giggs has been impressed with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s start as caretaker manager at Manchester United.
The ‘baby-faced assassin’ has won his first two matches in charge at United with a 5-1 win over Cardiff in his first outing before a 3-1 victory against Huddersfield on Boxing Day.
The back-to-back triumphs have seen them consolidate sixth place, while they have closed the gap to fourth-placed Chelsea to eight points.
And Giggs believes that Solskjaer has changed the whole atmosphere around the club and Old Trafford since replacing Jose Mourinho.
“It was Ole’s first home game, and the positivity that came from Cardiff game, the performance and result and I think everyone was looking forward to the game,” Giggs told MUTV.
“The big players are turning up, (Paul) Pogba with the goals, David (De Gea) with a great save and Marcus (Rashford) getting better and better each game.
“There’s a real positivity around the place and we need that to carry on now going into the Bournemouth game.”
