Mauricio Pochettino celebrated Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Champions League-winning goal for Manchester United in the 1999 final.
Pochettino, who has been heavily linked with the United job after Jose Mourinho’s December sacking, was at the Camp Nou as United overcame Bayern Munich.
The Tottenham manager stressed that he was there as a “neutral” fan – although he “shouted” the winning goal as United snatched victory from the jaws of defeat in injury time.
“I have good memories because also I remember when he scored after 90 minutes at the Camp Nou, I was with Tony Jimenez, my goalkeeping coach,” he said.
“We were there. I remember him when he scored the second goal in the injury time and how I shouted the goal of Manchester United, that was unbelievable.
“We were neutral people watching a fantastic game. I have good memories of him.
“It was this type of moment, on Sunday we are going to meet at Wembley when 20 years ago I was shouting a goal that he scored for Manchester United and now we are going to play them at Wembley.”
