The Monsoon preparedness of the Municipal authorities in Mumbai has come under some serious question after heavy rains which continued for hours threw normal life out of gear. The rains which began around midnight continued well into the day resulting in waterlogging across major roads. Traffic has been severely affected due to waterlogging in several parts of the city. Vehicular traffic has been diverted in many key roads due to the waterlogging.
Waterlogging was reported near the airport, Andheri, Kurla road, and in Juhu.
Many flights to and from Mumbai have also been reportedly delayed due to the rains.
Many on their way to work complained that app-based cab services like Ola and Uber had hiked the fare multiple times due to the rains.

The Met Department has predicted that Mumbai and other parts of Maharashtra are likely to receive heavier rainfall in the coming days.
