Kate Hudson and Oprah have something in common.
We’re not just talking about their bellowing, big belly laughs (though those are a delight), but rather, their gigs as spokeswomen for WW, the program formerly known as Weight Watchers.
Yep, Hudson, 39, is joining the bread-loving mogul as the newest ambassador for the program. The actress shared the news on Instagram on Sunday evening with a video of her FaceTime sesh with O. Hudson shared that her reason for joining the the WW fam is “my kids and my family and longevity and wanting to be here as long as I possibly can … It’s really about the wholistic approach to wellness.”
“Absolutely,” Oprah concurred, “and fish tacos, for me.”
In her caption, Hudson added, “Health and wellness is my number one and I always say that what works for me doesn’t work for everyone. I believe that we need to celebrate diversity in how each individual wants to celebrate their bodies. We aren’t all going to enjoy the same work outs, outdoor activities, foods, etc.”

Earlier this year, Hudson alluded to wanting to get back in fighting shape after giving birth to her daughter, Rani Rose, who was born in early October.
“I am on a mission right now to get back to my fighting weight and my strong body/mind back I want to bring you in on some of this journey,” she wrote at the time.
Getting back in the saddle can be daunting — especially for the actress, who said she was so sick during her pregnancy with Rani that she “couldn’t get out of bed.” But she told People that she’s excited to get moving again — and to try out WW’s point system.
“A skinny margarita is like 5 points,” Hudson said. “I’m going to leave myself my points so I can have my margarita!”
Cheers.
