This place is popularly known as the ancestral home of the Royal Family. As old as 463 years, Trongsa is one one of the best places to learn about the history of Bhutan. This place has defined the kingdom’s history.
3. Rinpung Dzong
Another place built in 16th century is known as the heap of jewels and is truly another jewel Bhutan is decorated with. The Rinpung Dzong attracts many tourists every year.

4. The Memorial Stupa
The giant beautiful stupa is the place for you if you need to get lost in peace. It was built in the memory of the third king, Jigme Dorji Wangchuck in 1974. It is beautifully carved and the sculptures shines like nothing else and the paintings there will take you by surprise. Some hermits and devoted Buddhists often walk to the mountains for months to meditate.
